- I've got a pretty nasty problem with the old Amiga Format Imagine v2.0;
- its stopped working :-(
-
- Heres what happened.
-
- For about a year it was working fine on the A4000/030 6Mb. I was
- rendering funny coloured pictures perfectly :-)
-
- But about 3 months ago it stopped working. The system went up to 10Mb
- RAM, and I installed some new stuff in the WBStartup drawer, and at first
- I thought it was that. So I booted off the Workbench 3.0 disks, and
- Imagine still didnt work.
-
- Then I ran Snoopdos and this is what happened:
-
- 193 WBL #COPY_DIR 1E5C114 HD1 OK
- 194 WBL #EXAM_OBJE 1E72672, 1E73FD4 HD1 OK
- 195 WBL #PARENT 1E72672 HD1 OK
- 196 WBL #FREE_LOCK 1E72672 HD1 OK
- 197 WBL #EXAM_OBJE 1E7267A, 1E73FD4 HD1 OK
- 198 WBL #PARENT 1E7267A HD1 OK
- 199 WBL #FREE_LOCK 1E7267A HD1 OK
- 200 WBL #EXAM_OBJE 1E72672, 1E73FD4 HD1 OK
- 201 WBL #PARENT 1E72672 HD1 Fail
- 202 WBL #FREE_LOCK 1E72672 HD1 OK
- 203 WBL Open HD1:Paint/Imagine/Imagine.i Read OK
- 204 WBL *Open HD1:Paint/Imagine/Imagine.i Read OK
-
- And I always get a fail for the #PARENT just before the Open. I suppose
- that this is Not A Good Thing ??
-
- I checked for Virus' (None), booted with out WBStartup, user-startup,
- disabled Fast Ram, disconnected printer & modem, reinstalled the
- programme about four times and moved the imagine.config file out of the
- imagine directory.
-
- The first time I start it up, it just starts to display the picture, and
- exist about half way through; if I try to restart it after that, I get,
-
- Task..: 0x07C37D18 "Imagine"
- Error.: 0x01000009 (Recoverable)
- By....: ExecLibrary
- Cause.: Freeing memory that is already free
-
- Can someone help?
